I Told You So
Vote for Gore/Lieberman, or You're an Anti-Semite, revisited
by: Jason Doyle
I hate to bring up the past, but I think it is necessary to show you
that I'm right. If you haven't read Vote for Gore/Lieberman, please do
so now. The rest of this piece won't make sense if you don't. But if
you are one of those people that don't have the time, here's the Cliff's
Notes version of the piece.
I said watch for the Democrats to start painting the American voter as
Anti-Semitic. It's happening.
This is from the U. S. News & World Report, August 28, 2000. The title
of the piece is Making the Case for Joe, by Terence Samuel.
There are others to be convinced, as well. Leon Panetta, President
Clinton's former chief of staff, admires Gore's choice of Lieberman but
wonders whether the nation is ready for a Jew in the White House. "I
think [Lieberman] brings the capability, the experience, the
thoughtfulness, the statesmanship that I think you need for that
position," Panetta said. "You don't need a party hack; you need a
statesman, and the vice president was smart enough to pick somebody like
him. I think the real question is: Has America grown, matured enough
about focusing on capability and not race, creed, color, or religion to
be able to vote for him without any sense of prejudice?" Adds Jerrold
Nadler, a congressman from Manhattan: "It's clearly a risk. No one knows
the extent of hidden anti-Semitism in the country."
The Democrats have now judged the common people of America as the
Anti-Israel. They know they have a candidate that can't win. The
Democrats don't want to admit they have failed, so they are going to
blame you and you're hidden anti-Semitism. Basically, what they are
doing is acting like a spoiled child thumbing his nose at you. (For
those of you born after Ronald Reagan won a second term, that's an old
fashioned way of flipping people off.)
This attitude makes me want to run out and join whatever group is
against the Democrats. I'm mature enough to look past race, creed,
color, religion, oh, and one more that Panetta forgot, sexual
orientation, when it comes to who can do the best job.
The leadership of the Democratic Party is elitist. They want to divide
American down any line they can draw. They want to categorize you, give
you a number, and take your hard earned money to give to people that
they claim can't do it for themselves. If you decide to get off your
couch and make a decent living, you are evil. If you chose not to vote
for them, you are evil. Don't vote against Gore/Lieberman because
Lieberman is a Jew. Vote against them because the Democratic Leadership
is too much like Hitler and Stalin.
That's the Soapbox, I'm Jason Doyle.
